Who can make the referral?

We accept referrals from parents, GPs, school staff, or any other healthcare professionals for private or independent clinic assessments

Can I discuss my child’s referral with the clinic prior to scheduling a full assessment?

Yes, we offer a free telephone consultation with parents or carers to provide guidance about the referral and plan an appropriate clinical assessment based on the child’s symptom profile.

What is the waiting time for a clinic assessment?

There is currently no waiting time. We aim to assess your child within 2 weeks and provide a written report within 10 days.

Who conducts the assessment?

Assessments are conducted by Dr Cyril De Silva, Consultant Paediatrician, and a highly specialised Speech and Language Therapist, along with other multidisciplinary colleagues as needed.

Where will the assessment happen?

Our team will arrange an appointment at a health centre near the child’s home address for convenience.

How do I book a clinic appointment and make the payment?

Once the referral has been discussed and accepted, we will provide an invoice for payment prior to the assessment.

What is the quality standard of your private assessments?

Our diagnostic assessments meet NHS standards, NICE guidance, and other statutory services’ requirements, ensuring that our assessments and recommendations are aligned with NHS standards.

What happens after the assessment?

We provide diagnostic assessments and will make appropriate recommendations and referrals to relevant multidisciplinary services, healthcare professionals, and other agencies, such as Local Education Authorities for continued support
